羊羹 夜の梅
Yokan Yoru no Ume
「夜の梅」に合う器を考えたときに、最初に頭に浮かんだのは頁岩(shale)でした。
堆積岩の一種で、本のページのような見た目と、
薄く割れる性質から「頁岩」という名がつけられました。
釉は「夜の梅」がより美しく引き立つように、岩石の表情に近いマットな白釉を用いました。
蓄積していく岩石の表情を生かして制作しました。
Shale
“Shale” is a type of rock that popped up into my mind when I first thought of “Yoru no Ume.”
Shale is a kind of sedimentary rock, and when placed on top of one another it resembles a
pile of papers like a book. I used white matte glaze to charmingly display “Yoru no Ume.”
