Yokan Omokage
私は『おもかげ』の菓銘と黒々として艶のある姿に惹かれました。
羊羹を引き立たせるために模様を鋸刃や彫刻刀などで施し、
溝に白い釉薬を溜め、白と黒のコントラストを作りました。
自分が彫った線や丸の痕跡が模様となって、お菓子の引き立て役になればと思います。
Trace
I was attracted to the name “Omokage” and its dark and luster aspect. I drew a pattern
using a carving knife and put in white glaze on the grooves to create a contrast between
the black Yokan and the plate.
