本来、羊羹は漢時代から中国で羊の肉を作ったスープのことでした。
「羊」は古来より「三陽開泰」でいわれているように、
吉兆をあらわす動物として大吉羊とされ、おめでたい言葉とされています。
中国漢時代の磚（煉瓦）をイメージし漢大吉羊洗の文字を図案化した文様を菓子器に刻み制作しました。
Kei
The original yokan was a sheep soup that originated during the Han Dynasty in China.
Thesheep was considered an auspicious animal in Ancient China,
so I designed a pictorial illustration which means “happy” or “luck” on the plate.
